Stolen car, property found after chase

A 17-year-old Farmerville man and a juvenile were taken into custody on July 13 after a short pursuit near Ruston.

Deangelo Holly, 17, and a juvenile were arrested by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office about 11 p.m. after the vehicle came to a stop on Cedar Creek Road near Frazier Road.

When the chase ended, Holly and the juvenile were arrested after deputies ordered them out of the vehicle at gunpoint.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found items determined to be stolen, including Social Security cards, IDs, and access cards. The car had reportedly been taken without permission from a relative.

Holly was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for three counts of illegal possession of stolen things. The juvenile was charged with aggravated flight from an officer, no driver’s license, juvenile in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of stolen things, and no license plate light.
