We bid farewell to William Bernard Lueg, Jr., who went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2024 at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Almedia Lee Babb Lueg who survives him, and father to three loving children, William A Lueg, Jeffrey A Lueg, and Andrea Katherine Lueg Rovny (George Rovny).
He was also “Granhat” to six grandchildren, Jordan, Ben, Jared, Jeremy, Rachel and Rebecca. Raised in Louisiana, Bill and Almedia moved back from Texas in 2022 to spend his last years near their brothers and sisters. Bill was an active member of Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach, who have embraced him and Almedia as one of their own. We will all miss him.
Bill had a German engineering mind, but also a love of classical music, watching nature, teaching air conditioning to new technicians, talking about almost anything, and being with our mom.
Graveside services was held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Sharon Cemetery, near Dubach, with Brother Jeff Roberts officiating. Burial followed at direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston, La.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
