Ruston man faces second DWI charge

A Ruston man was arrested for his second DWI offense after a Lincoln Parish deputy stopped him for running a stop sign and saw indications the driver was impaired.

David T. Lee, 39, was stopped by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office on U.S. 80 just after midnight Tuesday morning. According to a deputy’s report, Lee exhibited indicators of impairment. A Louisiana state trooper responded to the scene to assist.

Lee agreed to perform field sobriety tests. The trooper detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on Lee’s breath and observed his slurred speech.

Lee was arrested and taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for a breath test. A breath sample was provided indicating Lee’s blood alcohol concentration was .133g%. Lee’s driving record indicated a previous DWI arrest in March. He was booked for second offense DWI.

Bail was set at $2500.
