Man arrested after sleeping outside Ruston store

A New Orleans man was arrested outside a Ruston convenience store last Tuesday evening after a complaint he was sleeping on the property.

Dontrell Williams, 34, was found sleeping outside the store in the 300 block of South Farmerville Street about 6:45 p.m. September 24. A records check revealed a warrant for his arrest from Orleans Parish. Williams was arrested and a suspected crack cocaine pipe was found in his pocket.


Williams was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of drug paraphernalia. A charge from Orleans Parish is pending receipt of the warrant.
