The Louisiana Tech bowling team has earned a seventh-place ranking in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Poll released Tuesday morning.
Last season, the Bulldogs held a seventh-place rank for much of the year before finishing eighth in the final NTCA poll. This year, they aim to secure a spot in the NCAA Regional for the fifth consecutive season, albeit without key All-Americans Allie Leiendecker, Patricia Rosales, and Danielle Jedlicki.
Returning to the team is Kylee Trexler, the national Freshman of the Year, alongside fellow All-Rookie team member Abbie Leiendecker. Senior Allyson Sand and junior Jenna Stretch are also back to provide crucial support.

To bolster the roster after graduation losses, LA Tech has welcomed transfers Paulina Avalos and Rachel Ong, who bring international experience from Team Mexico and Team Singapore. Freshmen Ashley Imhoff and Arianna Araujo are also poised to make their mark; Imhoff is a three-time 6A All-State honoree from Cabot, Arkansas, while Araujo captured the Illinois state championship in her senior year.
The Bulldogs will kick off their season this weekend at the SWIBC I and II in Fort Worth, Texas. Their first NCAA event is scheduled for October 18-20 in Orlando, Florida, at Destination Florida.
