Officer checking park finds wanted man

A Ruston man was arrested just after midnight Sunday morning after police found him in a closed city park and determined he was wanted.

Justin D’andre Thomas, 32, was arrested on a City of Ruston warrant for simple criminal damage to property and possession of marijuana.


A RPD officer on patrol found Thomas sitting in a vehicle in Huckleberry Park in the Cypress Springs subdivision about 12:00 a.m. on October 13. A records check located the warrant and Thomas was arrested. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 28 grams of marijuana.

Thomas was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail was set at $10,000.
