Officers checking car finds marijuana

Grambling Police arrested a Dallas, Texas, man last Thursday after marijuana was found in his car while he was visiting the Grambling State University campus.

Titus D. Foster, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute when his car was found running with the lights on at a closed building about 2:30 a.m. on October 10.

An officer on patrol spotted the vehicle at a closed restaurant building on R.W.E. Jones Drive. When he walked up to the vehicle, he saw a female sitting on the passenger side and a large plastic bag containing suspected marijuana in the center console. The female said the marijuana did not belong to her and that the owner of the vehicle, Foster, was across the street at one of the GSU dorms. Foster walked up from the dorm area and said the vehicle was his and that he had walked over to his sister’s room. He admitted the marijuana belonged to him.

In a search of the vehicle, a second bag of suspected marijuana was found in Foster’s bag on the driver side floorboard. Foster was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. His bail was set at $25,000.
