Student charged with stolen credit card use

Grambling State University Police arrested a woman after she allegedly used a stolen credit card.

Jayla Michelle Gage, 21, of Ruston, was booked last Monday with illegal possession of stolen things and access device fraud after she allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases on the GSU campus.


Gage allegedly used the credit card on four occasions on campus between October 7-10. According to GSU Police, she was observed on video footage from campus stores.

Gage’s bail was set at $5,000.

This information has been provided by a law enforcement agency as public information. Persons named or shown in photographs or video as suspects in a criminal investigation, or arrested and charged with a crime, have not been convicted of any criminal offense and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
