Louisiana Tech Men’s Basketball head coach Talvin Hester announced Thursday the signing of Jaylen Fenner who will join the Bulldogs for the 2025-26 season.

Fenner is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound wing out of Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, a team that is ranked No. 4 in the preseason UIL Class 6A state rankings.

“We are very excited that Jaylen is joining our family,” said Hester. “He brings so many things that will help him be successful at Louisiana Tech. He is a long, rangy athlete that can play in many spots on the court and can play with or without the ball in his hands. We cannot wait until his arrival.”

Fenner is already off to a strong start in 2024-25, having posted double-doubles in his first two games with the Eagles. He registered 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 78-71 win over Seven Lakes High School as well as a 24-point, 11-rebound effort in the season opening 69-68 victory against College Park.

As a junior, Fenner was named Honorable Mention All-District 21-6A after helping Atascocita to a 30-8 overall record and a 13-1 mark in district play, claiming the 21-6A district title.
