Two arrested at domestic call
A man and woman were arrested last week after Lincoln Parish deputies investigated a domestic violence call.
Deontreze K. Dade, 29, was charged with several domestic abuse offenses, while Chastity D. Ford, 35, was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Deputies responded to a Chandler Road address regarding a call that a woman’s boyfriend had slapped her in the face. When deputies reached the residence, they saw a disturbance occurring inside. A child said Dade had struck the child’s mother.
Dade refused to give his name or say what had occurred and was taken into custody. As Dade was being taken to a patrol car, he allegedly resisted a deputy’s efforts.
A records check showed an active protective order against Dade stating he was to have no contact with Ford. A bench warrant was located for Dade for domestic abuse battery amended to simple battery.
Ford was found hiding in a bedroom closet. When asked why she was in the closet, she said she knew she was wanted.
Ford was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Third District Court for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Dade was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for violation of a protective order, resisting an officer, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and the simple battery bench warrant. His total bail amount was not available at publication time.
Ford was booked on the unauthorized use warrant with bail set at $50,000.
