Cedar Creek saw three players score in double figures as the Cougars raced past Family Community Christian School 65-37 Monday night at the Brickhouse.

Cannon Robbins netted 23 points, Jake Terry added 17 points and Luke Waldron scored 14 points as the Cougars (9-4) picked up their ninth win of the season.

“The team played really well tonight,” said head coach Lance Waldron. “We did a great job in every aspect of the game. Defense was relentless. We won the rebound battle and the turnover battle.”

Robbins (5), Terry (7) and Waldron (6) combined to score all 18 of the Cougars first quarter points as Creek led 18-4 after the opening eight minutes of play.

The Cougars maintained their 14-point advantage at the half with a 31-17 lead before blowing the game open in the third period. Robbins scored 12 points in the third frame as Creek outscored FCCS 23-13 to push its lead to 54-30 heading into the fourth quarter.

“Offensively we did a good job of moving the ball and finding the open man,” said Waldron. “I am proud of our team.”

Jack Bell added seven points for Creek as the Cougars remain No. 2 in the geauxpreps.com Select School Division IV power ratings.

The Cougars travel to face Summerfield Thursday.
