
Tullos man arrested in Ruston after fights
Ruston Police arrested a 21-year-old man after he allegedly struck and woman at a residence and then instigated several fights at a local eatery and bar last week.
Charles Humphries of Tullos, La., was charged with simple battery and disturbing the peace by fighting at Ponchatoula’s in downtown Ruston on January 24.
Humphries allegedly struck a female victim in the chest with his hand at a Tanyard Creek Drive residence. The victim suffered bruising to her chest.
Humphries then went to Ponchatoula’s where he reportedly initiated fights with several people. RPD officers located numerous witnesses to the altercations and the assault at Tanyard Creek.
After he was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, Humphries was released on $2,000 bail.
