Wanted man found on Lincoln Parish stop

A Farmerville man was arrested last week in Lincoln Parish after he was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be wanted by Arkansas authorities.

A deputy pulled over TR Juvell Johnson, 19, for driving with no headlights on La. Highway 33 just after midnight on the morning of March 2. While interacting with Johnson, the deputy detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle.


A records check showed Johnson was wanted by Clay County, Arkansas on a warrant charging him with second degree battery. During a search for weapons, a deputy found a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana.

Johnson was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of marijuana. possession of drug paraphernalia and the Arkansas warrant. The bail amount on the local charges was not available at publication time.
