Arcadia man charged in two separate cases

A Ruston woman reported the father of their child forced his way into her home and grabbed her by the neck during an incident last week.

Latario T. Davis, 26, of Arcadia, was arrested March 21 by Ruston Police after he left the woman’s residence.

According to an officer’s report, Davis went to the victim’s home with a firearm. The woman said Davis dropped off their 3-year-old child and when she attempted to close the door, he forced his hand in and grabbed her around the neck. She was able to get away and call police.

An officer saw marks on the woman’s neck.

Police spotted Davis’s red Ford Mustang from the woman’s description. He was stopped on Tech Drive about 2:15 a.m. and arrested. A Glock pistol was found inside the vehicle.

Davis was booked for home invasion and violation of a protective order in connection with the incident as well as for armed robbery and aggravated assault with a firearm from a 2024 case investigated by RPD. His bail was set at $575,000.
