A Choudrant man was arrested for violating a protective order after his alleged involvement in a disturbance last Sunday.
Lincoln Parish deputies responded to a pleasant Grove Road residence on March 30. A woman said Clinton Y. Campbell, 49, was causing a disturbance.
The woman said Campbell and her mother had been involved in a verbal argument. Deputies spoke to both parties and saw no need for further action in regard to the disturbance.

However, deputies learned the mother held an active protective order against Campbell. The protective order was verified with the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office as well an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a disturbing the peace charge.
Campbell was arrested and when asked if he had anything illegal on him, he admitted having a smoking pipe for methamphetamine.
Campbell was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for violation of a protective order, the Union Parish warrant, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail amount was not available at publication time.
