This week in Lincoln Parish Schools

The Lincoln Parish Journal is providing our local schools with an opportunity to submit nuggets from what’s going on at their respective schools in order to get more information out on their students, faculty and staff. The information below comes directly from those schools. Any school wishing to provide content each week can email at hannalsingh@gmail.com

Our Kindergarteners took their health and wellness unit to the next level with an interactive field trip to All Hours Fitness!  With the help of amazing fitness trainers, our little athletes rotated through fun exercise stations, learning how to stretch, squat, and move their bodies in the healthiest ways! From jumping jacks to planks, these kiddos gave it their all!

Choudrant

CES 5th grade students partnered with Edge of Space Missions and Beyond in Colorado Springs, CO to send experiments into the stratosphere. The launch was successful and the experiments were returned to the students for post-observations and future experiments.

Pre-K News

The Pre-K classes at Choudrant Elementary enjoyed participating in the school’s annual Aggie Mile Fun Run. The children enjoyed racing to help raise money for our PTO picnic table fundraiser.  We are looking forward to having these tables and being able to have more picnics and do some outdoor learning.

In April, the Pre-K children will have a “Hop into Learning”event where families will visit the Pre-K classrooms for some fun spring and Easter themed activities and centers. The children will have an Easter egg hunt along with this special event.

Congratulations to Ms. Tiffany on being named April’s Employee of the Month! Her nominators had this
to say about her: “always having something positive to say! 😊” “No complaints!”

Our students helped spread awareness and show their support for Autism Awareness Day by wearing their blue this past Tuesday.  We also hosted the school board meeting where some of our cubs started the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and stating our motto.
