A Ruston man was arrested last week on a traffic stop when police learned he was wanted for failure to appear in court.
Fabian Gipson, 33, was stopped by Ruston Police on March 28. Officers determined Gipson was wanted for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on a no seatbelt charge. An opened beer was found in the vehicle. Gipson was arrested and warned failure to disclose any contraband he had on him would result in additional charges should it be found on him at the detention center.
During a routine intake search, two small bags of marijuana were found on Gipson. He was booked for possession of marijuana, introduction of contraband into a penal facility, open container, and the failure to appear warrant.
