Louisiana Tech’s Daniel Batcho has been selected to participate in the 2025 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, an event that showcases the nation’s top college seniors.

Batcho was one of 64 players invited to the 71st annual P.I.T. which will take place April 16-19 in Portsmouth, Virginia. Eight teams of eight players play a 12-game tournament over four days in front of professional scouts.

The Paris, France native capped off his Bulldog career with several honors including First Team All-Conference USA, CUSA Defensive Player of the Year, CUSA All-Defensive Team, and NABC Second Team All-District and was a finalist for the Lou Henson Award.

He led LA Tech and ranked sixth in the league in scoring at 16.7 points per game, scoring in double figures in 28 of the 32 games played. He tallied eight 20+ scoring performances, including a career-high 38 points versus Mississippi College which was the most by a Bulldog since 2016.

The power forward finished the season ranked second in the nation in field goal percentage (68.9), a mark that set a new program record and tied for the second-best FG% for a single season in CUSA history.

Batcho also ranked seventh in CUSA in rebounds per game (6.4), tallying six double-doubles including three games of 24+ points and 10+ boards. He also ranked first in the league in blocks per game (2.0). His 64 blocks ranked 26th in the country and were the 12th most in a single season in program history.

This marks the second straight season a Bulldog has been invited to the P.I.T. as Isaiah Crawford participated in the tournament last year.
