Drugs found on Ruston traffic stop

Ruston Police arrested a Marion man last Tuesday after methamphetamine was found in his vehicle on a traffic stop.

Korey Leger, 48, of Marion, was stopped April 8 after an officer noticed the inspection sticker on his vehicle expired in 2021. During the course of the investigation, three containers of methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.

Leger was placed under arrest and advised of his rights. He then said he had a glass smoking pipe in his boot. Officers found the pipe containing suspected drug residue.

Leger was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and expired inspection sticker.
