Woman arrested after domestic incident

A Ruston woman was arrested last week after she was allegedly involved in a domestic disturbance at a Tech Farm Road apartment.

Angela Bynum, 25, was arrested on a number of charges after a physical altercation with another woman on April 10.

The victim said after the altercation, Bynum left the residence with her belongings at about 1 a.m. on April 11. At about 3 a.m., Bynum began texting and calling the victim wanting back into the apartment. When the victim ignored the calls, Bynum allegedly threw a rock through an apartment window.

Bynum reportedly climbed through the broken window and entered the victim’s bedroom, punching her in the face with a closed fist about eight times.

Officers observed slight swelling around the victim’s left eye.

Bynum was located by police on nearby Roosevelt Drive and took her into custody. A records check showed Bynum was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on traffic violations.

Bynum allegedly admitted breaking the window and that she and the victim fought. She was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property, and the two City Court warrants.
