Alex Roebuck shot a 75 to lead Cedar Creek to a first place tie at the District 1-1A golf championship played Tuesday at Frenchman’s Bend Golf Course.

The Cougars shot a team total of 329 to tie Castor for the title in the seven-team event.

“It was a team effort,” said Creek head coach Gene Vandenlangenberg. “All the guys played well. We had three personal best 18 hole scores at district. The guys have worked hard all year and are looking forward to competing at Regionals.”

Roebuck finished second in the individual standings out of 39 total competitors. Cameron Temple fired an 81 and Triston Floyd added an 83 to both place in the Top 10.

James Myers shot a 90 and Nolan Martin added a 98 to round out the scoring for the Cougars.

Cedar Creek will advance to next week’s regionals at the Huntington Golf Club in Shreveport.
