An incident a Ruston restaurant led to the arrest of a Benton man.
Carter Alan Montgomery, 19, was arrested for a simple battery on May 10 at a Park Avenue restaurant and bar. An employee told police Montgomery had struck another customer.

Police viewed surveillance video in which reportedly showed Montgomery walking up to another man and striking him in the face. When Montgomery was questioned by police, he admitted striking the man in the face because the man had his hand around his ex-girlfriend‘s body.
Montgomery was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center with bail set at $1,000.
