Lincoln Parish man arrested on warrant at disturbance call

Lincoln Parish deputies who responded to a call on June 28 arrested a local man after he was found to be wanted for failure to pay child support.

Darquarian Williams, 40, was located at the scene of a complaint on Heard Road shortly after midnight on June 28.. Williams was on a bicycle in the middle of the road and appeared to be impaired. He admitted to smoking methamphetamine prior to riding his bicycle on Heard Road.


A records check showed Williams was wanted on a warrant from Third District Court for failure to pay child support. When arrested, Williams was asked if he had any contraband on him. He produced a glass smoking pipe commonly used to consume methamphetamine. A plastic bag containing methamphetamine was found in Williams‘s hat.

Williams was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the child support warrant. Bail for the warrant was set at $20,000. Bail on the other charges was not available at publication time.
