Memorial services for Phyllis Marie Cagle, age 67 of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel with Bro. Andy Allred officiating.
Phyllis was born February 2, 1958 in Clarksdale, MS to Raymond Guy Carpenter and Shelby Jean Boatner Carpenter and passed away at home after a battle with cancer on July 4, 2025 in Ruston, LA. On August 22, 1975 in Runnelstown, MS, Phyllis married her husband, Boyce Glynn Cagle Jr., in which she shared fifty beautiful years together and were just in love now as they were in the beginning. Phyllis loved her children and grandchildren dearly, as they and Glynn were her whole world.
Phyllis was the most selfless, loving, and kind women, the community mom, that loved all. She enjoyed doing puzzles, planting flowers, and spending time doing anything with her grandchildren. Her favorite memories were made when all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. Phyllis’s greatest life lesson was to always be humble, kind, and to have a big heart.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; son, Raymond Phillip Cagle; and daughter, Heather Marie Cagle. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her husband, Glynn Cagle; son, Boyce “Trey” Cagle III and wife Tina; daughter, Angela Cagle; brother, Guy Carpenter; grandchildren: Boyce “Quaid” Cagle IV, Kaitlin and husband Josh Nalitt, Callie Cagle, Colby Cagle, Noah Cagle, Adam Cagle, Laila Cagle, Jonas Cagle, Drake Cagle, Tucker Cagle, and Charlie Cagle; great-grandchildren: Beaux Cagle, Kinley Cagle, Ellie Nalitt, Ayden Duchesne, Gracyn Duchesne, Emmy Duchesne, and one on the way; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
