Tech Tennis earns academic honor

The Louisiana Tech Tennis team was recognized for its academic achievements on Monday as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the Bulldogs as a 2025 Division I Women’s ITA All-Academic Team.

LA Tech recorded a 3.42 team grade point average for the 2024-25 academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have had a team GPA of 3.2 or above). This marked the fourth time in the last five seasons the Bulldogs received this team honor.

On top of being an ITA All-Academic Team, four of the Bulldogs – Mio Kozaki (3.57), Zoie Epps (3.82), Maria Tsironi (3.82), and June Vigneron (3.52) – were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. To earn this academic accolade, student-athletes must have had a GPA of at least 3.5 for the academic year.

LA Tech has been honored numerous times over the past season for its academic success. The Bulldogs received a perfect 1,000 single-year APR rating while all seven student-athletes were named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll, including Mio Kozaki who also earned the Commissioner’s Academic Medal. Epps also added to her academic honors as the sophomore was previously named Academic All-District.
