
A man who has been banned from Ruston Walmart stores for repeated thefts was arrested for shoplifting Sunday afternoon.
Dontrell Williams, 35, of Avondale, was arrested for theft by shoplifting and remaining on premises after being forbidden after he was spotted near the Neighborhood Walmart after store officials reported a shoplifter.
Ruston Police spotted Williams near the store several minutes after the report was received and recognized him from previous incidents. After Williams was stopped, officers found his backpack was full of items reported stolen from Walmart.
He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
