Why The Greatest Leader Ever?
It was December of 2024, and I was reflecting on my thirty-four years working for Ernst & Young CPA firm and International Paper Company.
I began to wonder how much impact I had over those years. Sure, we ran successful businesses, developed people, and created better workplaces. The real question for me though was whether the people were better because of my time with them.
As I thought about that impact, I stared at my laptop. I had written a book back in the summer of 2022 that was titled The Greatest Leader Ever. The book was just 117 typed pages sitting on my laptop. My first book, People are the Plan, was still active in the market, and I was still speaking on it with organizations across the country.
Writing a book is work but getting it published and marketed is even tougher! I stared at that Word document. What if it makes a difference? What if just one life is impacted? What if many lives are impacted? Would it be worth it?
This past January, I contacted Christian Faith Publishing and started the process.
The Greatest Leader Ever – Leadership Lessons from the Life of Jesus is a leadership development book based on historical accounts from Jesus’s life. It’s ideal for the Christian leader seeking to lead like Jesus led.
It’s not just for the Christian though! It is for anyone in a leadership role that seeks to develop their influence as a leader. Why not look at the most influential leader in the history of the world and embrace aspects of that approach to leadership?
I wrote this book to impact lives. Introducing leaders to Jesus, the most influential leader in the history of the world, is my primary goal. I share personal stories of how I used the concepts that Jesus used to mold my leadership approach.
