A Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office tracking dog was able to locate a burglar suspect wanted by Ruston Police.
Timothy Laterrence Gray, 33, of Ruston, was arrested after police were called to a South Trenton Street residence regarding a man who had entered without permission.
When officers arrived, Gray fled into the woods behind the residence. He had already been identified as a person wanted in connection to several burglaries at this residence.
Officers ordered Gray to stop, but he refused and continued into the woods. The area was surrounded and Gray was ordered out several times but refused to surrender.
RPD contacted the sheriff’s office to request a tracking dog at the scene. The canine, named Thor, located Gray under a shed on Jones Street.
Gray was taken into custody and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for simple burglary and resisting an officer.
