City of Ruston Public Works Director John Freeman told the Lincoln Parish Journal Thursday evening that another positive test for West Nile Virus at a local trap was confirmed on Tuesday.
The trap is located in the Tanglewood Division area specifically on the corner of Audubon Drive and North Trenton, according to Freeman.
It marks the third trap to test positive in the last week after the Vector Disease Control International reported two positive tests last week in traps located in proximity to Barksdale Street and another near the intersection of McDonald Ave and Poe Street.
However, Freeman confirmed Thursday evening that followup tests on both of those traps were negative

The VDCI will be around the most recent positive test site placing door hangers and pamphlets on what residents can do to prevent the spread of West Nile virus. There will also be spraying in the evenings around those areas.
Both documents are included in links below in this story.
