On Friday, September 12, 2025, at approximately 2330 hrs., Union Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop a vehicle inside the city limits of Farmerville for a traffic infraction.
The driver refused to pull over and continued to evade deputies, traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies observed the vehicle traveling in both lanes of traffic and reaching speeds over 90 miles per hour. At one point, the driver abruptly braked in an attempt to cause an intentional crash with deputies before continuing to evade law enforcemen
The suspect vehicle failed to stop at multiple intersections and the pursuit continued to Marion. While traveling on Highway 551, the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway at a high rate of speed but continued fleeing from deputies. After approximately 23 miles, the pursuit came to an end in the Oakland community of Marion when the vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch. Deputies removed both occupants from the vehicle and secured the driver, who was identified as Justin Tavell Warren, 41, of Farmerville.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, located both inside the vehicle and on Warren’s person. Deputies also found open containers of alcohol. Warren’s license was confirmed to be suspended, and he was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on previous narcotics charges.
The passenger in the vehicle was cooperative with the investigation and was not charged. Warren was transported and booked into the Union Parish Detention Center. His bond was set at $182,500 by a 3rd District judge. He is charged with:
