Deputy spots wanted man, later finds drugs

Two people were arrested last week after a Lincoln Parish deputy spotted a man wanted for probation violation and subsequent investigation found his companion in possession of drugs.

Donnie Holloway, 30, was pumping gas into a Ford Taurus on October 3 when he was spotted by a deputy who knew he was wanted for probation violation.

As deputies were arresting Holloway, they saw a marijuana grinder in view inside the Ford Taurus. The driver of the car, Kaylynn Leeane Hattaway, 21, of Dubach, admitted the grinder was hers.

A search of the car located a rolling tray with marijuana residue, a handbag containing two jars of marijuana and a ziplock bag of marijuana and an unlabeled pill bottle containing several Jornay PM (methylphenidate hydrochloride, a central nervous system stimulant).

Hattaway said she got the Jornay PM from a friend.

The Taurus was found to be uninsured and was towed from the scene.

Holloway was booked for probation violation and Hattaway was booked for possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no liability insurance.
