The Coordinating and Development Corporation (CDC) is organizing the upcoming Lincoln Parish Career Expo on Tuesday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Parish Library Events Center.
The event will bring together over 30 employers and training providers to connect with job seekers looking to take their next career step.
The Career Expo is free and open to the public, offering attendees the chance to meet directly with employers who are ready to hire. Buie Photography will provide free professional headshots for job seekers, and door prizes will add to the excitement throughout the day.
Representative Chris Turner is generously providing lunch for employers, ensuring they can remain at their booths and are available for on-the-spot interviews. Job seekers are encouraged to come prepared: bring resumes, dress professionally, and be ready for potential interviews during the event.
Employers participating in this year’s expo include Century Next Bank, Good Day Farm, Delta Biscuit, HGA, Andritz, Ruston Police & Fire Departments, Fibrebond, Coastal Truck Driving School, Delta Community College, North Louisiana Technical Community College (NLTCC), Willis-Knighton, and Ochsner LSU Health, among many others.
The event is made possible through the collaboration of The Coordinating and Development Corporation, the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Delta Community College, and the Lincoln Parish Library.
Natalie O’Rourke, Business Services Representative, added,
“Ruston is a special community with a lot of collaboration,” said Natalie O’Rourke, Business Services representative. “Local businesses, educators, and organizations truly support one another. That teamwork creates opportunities for growth—for individuals and for our region. We encourage everyone to attend, be ready to interview, and take advantage of this chance to connect.”
Attendees are encouraged to visit the “Lincoln Parish Career Expo” event on Facebook and select “Going” for updates, employer lists, and additional details.
