The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Bernice man following an investigation into allegations involving inappropriate online behavior with juveniles.
Detectives with Union Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) began the investigation after receiving a Cyber Tipline report from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in June 2025.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the suspect had allegedly engaged in online communication with multiple juveniles through social media platforms, such as TikTok, including video chats and messaging applications. Evidence indicated the exchange of sexually explicit images and inappropriate contact via live video.
The investigation revealed the suspect as Robert “Robbie” Russell Farris, 21, of Bernice. UPSO CID detectives obtained and executed a search warrant for Farris’ residence. Detectives recovered electronic devices believed to contain evidence related to the investigation. During the investigation, Farris admitted to soliciting explicit images from multiple underage females. Based on the evidence obtained, detectives requested a warrant for Farris.
On October 13, 2025, deputies located and arrested the suspect without incident. He was transported to the Union Parish Detention Center and booked for 1 count of Pornography Involving Juveniles and 2 counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. Farris’ bond was set at $175,000 by a Third District judge.
The case remains under investigation, and additional charges are expected as evidence is reviewed, and additional victims are identified.
UPSO would like to thank the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their assistance in this case.
