Ruston man arrested after shoplifting at two stores

Ruston Police arrested a local man on Halloween after he allegedly shoplifted at two local stores.

Christopher Ryan Singleton, 31, of Ruston, was arrested about 3:00 p.m. Friday after a store manager told officers Singleton shoplifted over $100 in merchandise. The items were recovered from during a search of Singleton along with merchandise from a nearby store valued at about $19. Both stores wanted Singleton prosecuted.


A records check showed Singleton was wanted for felony theft on a warrant from Third District Court. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail on the warrant was set at $25,000.
