Ruston Police arrested a Farmerville man early Sunday morning after responding to a disturbance at a local apartment complex.
Tony Bernard Bilberry, II, 33, was arrested for stalking and other charges after a woman said she came home and saw him fleeing through a bedroom window.
The woman reported on Saturday that she and her niece entered the apartment and saw Bilberry leaving through a bedroom window. She ran outside and yelled at Bilberry, asking why he kept coming to her apartment, but he never acknowledged her before leaving in a vehicle.
Records showed three previous incidents involving Bilberry at this residence in the past year. The reports indicate Bilberry had been following and harassing the woman, causing her stress and discomfort.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, the woman called police again reporting Bilberry was trying to enter her vehicle parked at her apartment. Officers responded again and located Bilberry and placed him under arrest.
Bilberry was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for stalking, entering premises after being forbidden, simple criminal damage to property, and three warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court.
