Memorial services for Billy Paul Moss, age 52 of Ruston, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA with Rev. Andy Allred and Rev. Jeremy Jones officiating.
Billy was born on January 21, 1973 in West Monroe, LA to Barbara and William Moss and passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 in Shreveport, LA. He worked at Snappy Lube before starting at Chevron Fast Lube and Oil Change on Cooktown Road where he made many friends doing various mechanic jobs. He also helped Bill and Barbara with their maintenance service. Billy loved riding motorcycles, 3-wheelers, and his jet ski, going fast and doing stunts he probably should not have been doing. He liked to grill and had a reputation for it.
Billy would help anyone in need of assistance. You could often find him helping friends build decks or covered patios, helping his dad in his shop, or doing work for the neighbors. Billy liked riding the tractor and mowing the yard, working out, spending time with his dog, and building knives for fun.
Billy was preceded in death by his pet dog of 13 years, Jack. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Bill Moss of Ruston, LA; sister, Christie and husband Jeff Payton of Rayville, LA; his miniature Doberman Pincher, Bubba; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at Owens Memorial Chapel.
