The Northern Louisiana Medical Center Auxiliary recently donated new waiting room furniture that will furnish four areas of the hospital.
The volunteer group that is a big part of the hospitals every day culture donated the items that will furnish waiting rooms in PCU/Med Surgery, ICU, the Atrium, and cardiology.
“We are so grateful for our amazing Auxiliary,” said CEO Kathy Hall. “We are proud to be associated with such a rare group of individuals who have dedicated their service to NLMC. They are the heartbeat of the hospital.”
The NLMC Auxiliary has supported the medical center for more than 60 years (started in 1962) and the volunteers dedicate not only their time, but their services to better the hospital.
“The Auxiliary is a volunteer service organization the services as front door greeter, surgery waiting room attendants and gift shop services,” said Bill Tatum, president of the Auxiliary Board of Directors. “Proceeds from gift shop sales are used to purchase items which are gifted ti the hospital. We encourage the public to shop our gift store first.”
The new waiting room furniture was purchased through funds raised and donated by the group.
