Downsville is about 10 miles northeast of Choudrant on the Union-Lincoln Parish line.

Another man is also wanted in connection with the investigation.

While on scene, investigators saw suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and firearms in plain view in the residence as well as in a camper trailer in the yard, which was being used as a residence. A search warrant was obtained and additional suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a firearm were located during the search.

All arrestees were booked into the Union Parish Detention Center as follows:

Taylor was booked for failure to appear in court on previous traffic charges. Bail set at $500.

Knight was booked for possession of Schedule II controlled substances. Bail was set at $12,500.

UPSO said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be pending as evidence is reviewed. Douglas Edward “Doug” Taylor, 53, of Downsville, is connected to this investigation and has outstanding felony warrants for possession of Schedule II controlled substances and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled substance.
