Felicia Vaughan Hamilton, 60, was arrested February 3 for aggravated assault and other charges after Ruston Police responded to a disturbance on Terrill Drive.
The victim and a witness told police that Hamilton charged at the victim with a metal pole and threatened to cause her bodily harm. The victim said she was in fear and believed Hamilton would have committed a battery on her with the pole had not the witness been present to stop her.
Hamilton was arrested after a brief struggle to take her into custody. She later admitted to police to waving a pole around her head and threatening the victim. She was booked for aggravated assault, resisting an officer, and a warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving under suspension charge.
