Grambling State has adjusted multiple athletic event schedules this weekend due to anticipated inclement weather in the area.
The Tigers’ annual spring football game, originally set for later in the day, will now kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium.
Weather concerns have also led to changes for Grambling State’s softball and baseball schedules.
The Lady Tigers will open their Southwestern Athletic Conference series against Southern with a doubleheader beginning at noon Friday. The series finale is now scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday.
On the baseball diamond, Grambling State will maintain its 6 p.m. first pitch Friday against Prairie View A&M at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park. However, Saturday’s game, initially slated for 6 p.m., has been moved up to 11 a.m.
If Saturday’s contest is interrupted by weather and cannot be completed, it will resume Sunday, followed by the series finale.
All schedule changes were made in anticipation of potentially severe weather expected to impact the region over the weekend.
