Wanted man found with drugs

A Ruston man was arrested last week when Lincoln Parish deputies took him into custody on outstanding warrants and then found drugs on him.

Michael K. Horton, 34, was arrested on outstanding warrants from Third District Court on April 17.

Deputies went to an East Georgia Avenue location in Ruston to serve the warrant. During Horton’s arrest, a deputy found a small bottle of an over-the-counter medication that instead contained 1.5 units of buprenorphine, a Schedule III opioid.

Horton was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of buprenorphine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and warrants charging him with violation of a protective order, and probation violation.
