Michael James Goodman, age 54, passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 22, 2026 in Choudrant, Louisiana.
Michael was born on October 21, 1971 in Lepanto, Arkansas. Michael lived a life defined by simple joys and deep personal passions. He had a lifelong love of rock music, often finding comfort and energy in his favorite songs. He also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, where cooking became a creative outlet. Michael had a special affection for cats, whose companionship brought him lasting happiness over the years.
Michael will be remembered for his rambunctious spirit, booming laugh, quick wit, his interests that brought him joy, and the presence he shared with those closest to him.
Michael is survived by his devoted mother, Bonnie Reed; sister, Katie Johnson (Michael); nephews, Wyatt and Reed; uncle, O.J. James; and his cousins, Dabnie, Jessica, and Kevin who will cherish his memory always.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, O.J. and Katherine James; and his aunt, Carolyn James Kempton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the Feline Humane Society of Ruston.
A private remembrance will be held by the family.
