Memorial services for Ruth Ann Butler Kidd, age 93 of the Liberty Hill Community, LA will be held at a later date.
Ruth Ann was born December 7, 1932 in Bienville, LA to Lummie Lee Fincher Butler and Clyde Lee Butler and she passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in Dubach, LA. She was a loving mother and devoted wife whose life was deeply rooted in the simple joys she cherished most. Having grown up in the country she loved so dearly, she carried that connection to the land with her always. Her home was a place of warmth, shaped by her love for family, her loyal dogs, and the peaceful surroundings she nurtured.
Ruth Ann found happiness in watching things grow – especially the many oak trees she planted across her property, each one standing today as a quiet testament to her care and vision. More than anything, she treasured time spent with those she loved, creating a life filled with kindness and enduring memories.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Alfus Kidd, Jr.; daughter, Karla Lee Kidd; and son, Jonathan Alfus Kidd. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Holly Ann Kidd; grandson, Kaelan Kidd; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Ruth Ann’s legacy will live on in the family she adored and the land she helped shape, where her spirit will always feel close to home.
