Tree trail at Lincoln Parish Park renamed and expanded; public invited to reopening

Lincoln Parish Park and North Central Louisiana Master Gardeners invite the public to the re-opening of the tree trail featuring 82 trees displaying tree tags with QR codes that link to tree characteristics.

Another sign with a picture of an acorn named “Nutty” appears in various places along the trail and displays a QR code that links to fun activities for trail hikers.

The trail was designed by North Central Louisiana Master Gardeners with the assistance of individuals, organizations, and institutions who will be recognized at the celebration.

The Louisiana Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by the LSU AgCenter. Master Gardener volunteers are highly trained and provide proven, research-based educational programs to Louisiana residents. The Louisiana Master Gardener program is a place for volunteers to have fun, educational experiences while serving the community in which they live.
