Man arrested on drug, stolen property charges

A Ruston man was arrested June 16 after deputies executed search and arrest warrants at a residence on Highway 146, according to an affidavit filed by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to the affidavit, deputies executed search and arrest warrants at a residence in the 8800 block of Highway 146. During the search, deputies located numerous stolen items valued at approximately $2,000.

One of the residents, identified as Seth Walsworth, 30, was found to have active warrants through Franklin Parish and Ouachita Parish for failure to appear in court on drug charges.

The affidavit states deputies also found a eyeglass case containing a clear plastic baggie with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe containing residue. The items were located near a wallet containing Walsworth’s identification.

Investigators noted in the affidavit that Walsworth resides at the Highway 146 address and receives mail there.

Walsworth was advised of his rights and told deputies he had not consumed methamphetamine since the day before. He was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on the warrants from Franklin and Ouachita Parishes, and local charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of stolen things.
