
Ruston Police arrested a man last week after officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on South Farmerville Street.
Darrell Lakey Turner, 48, of Ruston, was arrested June 19 for disturbing the peace by public intoxication.
According to a report, police were dispatched to a convenience store at 310 South Farmerville Street regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, an employee directed officers toward Turner, who was walking around the property.
As officers approached, Turner began yelling and cursing and continued to do so after being told to stop, the report states. An employee told police Turner had been consuming alcoholic beverages and had been causing problems at the complex.
Police noticed Turner had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech. Turner was arrested and transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
