Jazlyn Crowder developed a reputation as an elite defender during her three years in a Louisiana Tech uniform while helping the program capture three Conference USA titles.
Now the soon-to-be 29-year-old is flashing leather for the Texas Rangers.
Crowder, who was the 2019 Conference USA Player of the Year during her senior year, serves as a ballgirl for the Texas Rangers and is vying for the honor of serving in the same position for the American League in the upcoming All-Star Game set for Philadelphia on July 14.
The Kennedale, Texas, native is one of three finalists for the American League in just her second year as serving as a ballgirl for the Rangers organization.
In her introduction video for the competition, Crowder said her favorite part of the job is interacting with the fans.
“I remember giving a ball to a kid and it was his birthday,” said Crowder. “He was so excited. It felt awesome.”
Crowder spent three seasons in a Tech uniform (2017-19), capped by a senior season that saw her bat .357 with 10 home runs, 55 RBI, and 20 stolen bases when she was voted the CUSA Player of the Year.
