Stolen tools recovered during search

Lincoln Parish deputies arrested a man following a search of a residence on Madden Road last week.

Donnie Patrick, 58, of Ruston, was arrested July 2 when stolen tools were found during the search.

According to a report, deputies executed a search warrant at Patrick’s address in reference to a theft case. During the search, multiple stolen tools were recovered inside and outside a camper Patrick was living in.

The report states the stolen items were valued at more than $3,000. Patrick admitted trading methamphetamine for the tools and purchasing some of them at a fraction of their value from a person he knew was a burglary suspect.

Patrick was advised of his rights and transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where he was booked for felony illegal possession of stolen things.
