A Ruston man was arrested Tuesday after deputies investigated a threats complaint on Frazier Road.
According to a report, Joey Lasyone, 65, was arrested July 7 after deputies responded to a Frazier Road residence and spoke with a man who said he had been working on his front porch with a nail gun when Lasyone drove a tractor onto his property.
A deputy saw fresh tire tracks similar to those made by a tractor leading directly to the area where the tractor had pulled up.
The man said Lasyone lifted the grappler attachment on the front of the tractor, and made a motion with his hand similar to the grappler opening and closing. The report states Lasyone threatened to kill the man if he did not move out within 24 hours.The man said Lasyone lifted a metal pipe and made threats toward him.
The man said prior to the confrontation, he heard a gun fired on the other side of the fence separating their properties and saw Lasyone sitting on his tractor holding something.
Deputies later made contact with Lasyone. The report states he denied having a dispute with his neighbors and said he gets along with them. When deputies pointed in the direction of the other man’s residence and asked if Lasyone had been in a dispute with him. Lasyone confirmed that he “fired a gun on his property on a tree limb.”
Lasyone said he did not specify what was said during the dispute but that he had probably had too much to drink and said something he should not have.
Lasyone was arrested for aggravated assault and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
