Antley announces run for Lincoln Parish School Board District 5

CHOUDRANT – Hunter Antley of Choudrant, a lifelong resident of Lincoln Parish, has announced his candidacy for the District 5 seat on the Lincoln Parish School Board.

A 2013 valedictorian graduate of Choudrant High School and a 2018 Mechanical Engineering graduate of Louisiana Tech University, Antley said his decision to run is rooted in a lifelong commitment to the schools that helped shape him and a desire to continue his family’s legacy of service in public education.

“My family history with the education system in Lincoln Parish runs deep,” Antley said. “My parents and grandmother all worked tirelessly as educators in Lincoln Parish Schools. My father served Choudrant High in the classroom, in athletics, and as Principal before retiring. I want to continue that proud tradition of service to our parish schools and the community that has given me so much.”

Hunter and his wife Rachel, a 2014 Choudrant High graduate, live in Choudrant with their three-year-old son.

“Whether it was years tagging along as a child for school activities at Simsboro, building my foundation at A.E. Phillips, or making lifelong memories at Choudrant High, my life and heart will forever be tied to Lincoln Parish schools,” Antley added. “And while I am not an educator myself, I want to carry on my family’s legacy and use my own engineering background to represent, defend and support the schools and children of our parish.”

If elected to the Lincoln Parish School Board, Antley’s mission will be to ensure that all parish schools receive the funding, support and attention that they need to achieve and remain at the highest levels of excellence.

“As a proud product of Lincoln Parish schools, and as a parent whose own child will soon begin his education in the same system, I am committed to doing what I can to help provide all of our students the best possible schools we can give them,” Antley said. “I would be honored to earn the trust and support of the voters of District 5.”

The election for the District 5 seat on the Lincoln Parish School Board will be held on November 3, 2026.
